A day sorting textile waste at the Dry Waste Collection Center managed by Kumuda Ma

At the recently concluded Bharat Tex 2024 Global Expo, Ms Kumuda Ma was honoured and recognised as the "Most Inspiring Women Entrepreneur - Circular Textiles” by the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) at the CITI Textile Sustainability Awards 2024. The award was presented to her by Hon'ble Union Minister of Textiles, Commerce and Industry and Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Piyush Goyal in recognition of her yeoman service to segregate and save post consumer textile waste, the third largest waste material, ending up in the landfills.
